Little Labs IBP

Jonathan Little creates amazing “problem solvers”. The IBP (sort for “in between phase”), enables the phase alteration of the signal up to 180 degrees by using all pass filters. This is indispensable when you need to match two mics (or mic and DI) that pick up the same source and are not 180 degrees apart so the polarity (polarity! not phase!) switch on the console is not enough or “sounds bad in both settings” . Typical uses include: Bass DI and mic, OH and snare top, snare top and bottom, bass drum and OH or room, one of two mics on an acoustic instrument, you get the idea. You have to be listening to both sources at the same time for the effect to become apparent, obviously.
