Focusrite RED 3

The Red series from Focusrite is the only series currently worth a damn. Actually since it is discontinued too, that leaves Focusrite with the platinum series and the liquid channel… a long way from the days of Rupert. The Red 3 is amazing as a 2-bus comp when doing only slight amounts of compression. I mean with the needle barely moving. It has a very “pop” colour that makes the whole mix shine. Also good on bass drum. We have never used the limiter if memory serves right.
