A Designs Hammer

This is one of the most musical, “never sound bad” EQs we have ever encountered. It has 3 broad bell shapes that you can cut or boost up to 12dB. It can practically live on the guitar bus, overheads and of course 2-bus although depending on the musical style something more “aggressive” might be in order. It is a passive EQ with a tube make up stage. One thing to notice is that the 0 dB mark on the gain pots is not exactly 0 dB and it is different between left and right channels as well. The only way to properly align it is by tone calibration. Or re-align the pots. Hmmm…
